3D Home Staging

Staging homes in cyberspace for realty sales.

My new 3D hosting platform supports custom furnishings as well as exterior perspectives of roofs and siding.

3D furnishings are finite, and not provided yet by many furniture manufacturers. Ikea, is and exception to this. Most of their offerings are available, free of charge, for virtual staging. Others are available for a price at sites like cgtrader.com. As I build out more and more virtual home tours, we are adding to my collection of 3D fine furniture.

There are limitations to the size and materials of 3D models. This 2000 ft² home is about 25 megabytes, with 100 materials*. Large homes may have a smaller variety of furnishings due to file size limits. One way to keep things in boundaries, are using the same furniture models repeatedly, in order to keep the material quantity down. For instance, using the same bed model in all the bedrooms.

Building a 3D home model requires a dimensioned floor plan or blue print. My iGuide camera system can create one, that is accurate plus, or minus, 1/2 inch.

In addition to pre-construction, the system can be used on existing homes for planned renovation projects.
